Background: Screening for TB and latent TB Infection is a cornerstone in TB programs in low incidence countries. However, screening and prevention is performed very differently, not only in Europe and Scandinavia, but also within the borders of Denmark.

At this meeting we will discuss; current evidence on the predictive value of IGRA and the Mantoux test, impact of active case finding in high risk groups, impact of LTBI screening and preventive treatment especially among vulnerable groups, and short course preventive treatment. Experiences from Norway and Sweden will be presented. Finally we will discuss local screening procedures within Denmark, and discuss future options for common guidelines.
